I have installed CentOS 5 on a machine where I have also the Fedora4 OS.
With fedora I use an analogic modem (external on /dev/ttyS1) and it works fine.
The new CentOS doesn’t detect the modem (there is no /dev/modem file). I tryed to edit the modem configuration in the network configuration, but the modem doesn’t work (it gives an “error 7” if I try to connect).
I tryed to install an internal modem and I didn’t find the way to let the CentOS “see” it.
I didn’t find the right solution from the internet.
